From its elevated position atop Panagia hill, the villa enjoys breathtaking views of the virtually untouched southeast part of Kythnos, several nearby islands and the shimmering blue Aegean. Each morning, guests are greeted by the sun rising from the sea just next to Syros. The property is surrounded by dry-stone walls that have for centuries helped prevent soil erosion and are now a significant part of the island's cultural heritage. The nearest village is Dryopida, designated as a traditional settlement, where attractions include the famous Katafyki cave, the Byzantine Museum and the Folklore Museum. Located right in the centre of the island, the picturesque village is also a great starting point for excursions elsewhere. The closest beach is peaceful Skylou, a 250 m. stretch of white sand and pebbles washed by crystal clear waters. In short, the villa offers guests a combination of comfortable seclusion and easy access to the rest of the island.
The interior of the 210 m2 villa is arranged on two levels. Most floors are in polished white cement, which contrast attractively with the colourful floors and walls of the bathrooms. The interior design has been inspired by elements of Greek folk culture, further enhanced by a more modern take to create a delightfully artistic effect. The upper (ground) level occupies 75 m2 and consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom and one spacious living room with open kitchen area. The bedroom at the back of this level has a built double bed and enjoys exclusive access to a small private garden with hammock and outdoor showers. The front bedroom enjoys an endless sea view and has a large wardrobe. The small but functional kitchen features a traditional look but the equipment is complete and modern. On this upper level, guests can dine either outside (six persons) or in the living room (6-8 persons). The living room and both bedrooms are air-conditioned. Covering an area of 135 m2, the lower level consists of one master bedroom with en suite bathroom and two more bedrooms which share the largest bathroom of the villa. All three bedrooms have ceiling fans and air-conditioned. The kitchen on this level is next to a dining table and a living room, all of which have sea views as well as a/c. All five bedrooms have queen-size beds and enjoy sea, sunset and either mountain or garden views, and each has a private balcony. Guests will enjoy the outdoor living areas, including terraces, patios and verandas, not to mention the beautifully landscaped garden featuring more than 1,000 plants representing over 70 species of Greek flora. Here they will find garden chairs, a child's swing, and of course sunbeds beside the gorgeous swimming pool which also has a wind protected area. A new addition to the house that accommodates extra 2 guests is the pool house (30m2) with a/c. Located just by the pool and further away from the main house consists of a double build bed, kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower. Ideal for teenagers.
