Cube stands in a tranquil spot in the northeast of the island, just a few minutes’ walk from Pori, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Aegean. Due to its horseshoe shape, the beach offers adequate protection from the prevailing north wind. With fine white sand and clear turquoise waters, Pori is ideal for swimming, snorkelling and windsurfing in a pristine natural setting. Peaceful and unspoilt, the surrounding area is good for walking, particularly since motor vehicles are noticeable by their absence. The residence is not far from Chora, the only village on the island. Apart from its charming harbour, this traditional Cycladic settlement has a number of shops, tavernas and café-bars, making it ideal for a leisurely stroll, a cool drink or a delicious meal of fresh seafood.
Inspired by the typical Cycladic architecture famous for its uniqueness and charm – white washed cubes built next to each other, and painted white to deflect the sun rays during the hot summer months - stands in a 5500m2 garden facing east. Given great attention to the outdoor areas, the open sky bathtub located outside the master bedroom, is ideal to wash away the salt and sand after a day at the beach, or to soak in and cool down from the summer heat. An interesting patio with a comfortable set of built in sofas with colourful cushions highlights the arty white-washed wall with its several small windows. These windows also create a playful scheme as the sunrays are let in which adds to an element of surprise as one enters the house. The living room is bright and airy, featuring a sophisticated blend of traditional island style and modern touches. The bedrooms are comfortable and cozy, with colourful, funky accessories that add a more personal touch. The spacious open plan kitchen ideal for large parties and guests who like to cook while chatting with their friends who sit at the adjacent dining area. The lower level again modern and brightly coloured, with its own character and palette, also consists of an inviting playroom and three cozy bedrooms, all equipped with skylights to let the sunlight in.
