Fostering a seamless indoor/outdoor living experience, the lovingly restored stone house offers a cosy haven of comfort and tranquillity where guests can soak up the village’s unique atmosphere, take in the stunning landscape of verdant hillsides, and revel in the breathtaking view of the shimmering blue sea. The ideal retreat for a romantic getaway, a holiday with friends, or quality family time, the feel-good residence is also the perfect springboard for exploring the rest of the fascinating island. Cocoon is only a minute’s walk to a laid-back taverna and just a short drive to a sandy, family-friendly beach next to the picturesque fishing village of Pali.
The 93 m2 residence is laid out on two levels, both with independent access from the narrow winding street. As soon as you cross the threshold, you immediately feel welcome and at home. Natural materials, neutral colours, soft fabrics and atmospheric lighting set the tone, while attractive furniture, cement floors and a combination of stone, glass and wood surfaces evoke a bohemian chic lifestyle. The main entrance on the upper floor leads to an open-plan living room, fully equipped kitchen, and dining table for up to four guests. Bright and airy thanks to large windows that draw the outside in, this inviting space opens onto a delightful shaded terrace with stunning views of the sea and nearby islands. The perfect spot to chill during the day and enjoy a meal or drink in the evening. On the ground level there are two spacious bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, and a tiny laundry room. Characterised by whitewashed minimalism and designed for optimal comfort, each bedroom has a king-size bed (180 x 200 cm) and white wood wardrobes. The two levels are connected by an interior, white cement staircase with glass panels that lend another layer of elegance and allow light to circulate freely in the space. The residence has been renovated throughout with sustainability in mind. Construction has been based on bioclimatic principles to regulate natural light, ventilation and heat, with the use of environmentally benign materials and respect not only for the natural landscape of volcanic stone and wood but also traditional craftmanship. Instead of air-conditioning, the rooms are equipped with silent, equally effective ceiling fans. This commitment to sustainability extends to the furnishings and various other products that guests will find in the house, such as Coco-Mat ‘sleep on nature’ mattresses, Symbeeosis organic honey, tea and herbs, right down to the eco-friendly toilet paper!
